Summary, model-written
Antony station (RER line B terminus) was rebuilt in 2002 as a transit hub, not a mall. The record describes a station renovation, not a former mall retrofit. The "new_use" fields (housing, retail, etc.) refer to surrounding development, not the station itself. The station now includes RER, bus routes, Orlyval, taxi, and bike facilities. The context peers listed (e.g., Lafayette Place Mall) are actual malls, but this site is a transit station—no mall existed here to retrofit. Unknown: No mall was present; the "retrofit" refers to station infrastructure. Status: Built (2002).
Why. Record explicitly states original use = RER station, not mall. "After_notes" describes station rebuild. Peer comparison is invalid as peers are malls but this is a transit site.
Where it stands. Not a former mall. Transit infrastructure renovation. Surrounding development includes housing/retail, but the site itself was never a mall.
For a planner
- Transit hub rebuild (2002), not mall conversion. Context peers misapplied.
For a developer
- Site is a functioning transit station (RER/Orlyval/bus terminal), not a vacant mall. Adjacent development includes housing/retail, but no mall history.
What we do not know yet
- No mall existed here—record conflates transit project with mall retrofit. Peer comparison irrelevant. No data on pre-2002 site use beyond station.

Background
Antony (French pronunciation: [ɑ̃tɔni]) is a commune in the southern suburbs of Paris, France, 11.3 km (7.0 mi) from the centre of Paris. Antony is a subprefecture of the Hauts-de-Seine department and the seat of the arrondissement of Antony. Watered by the Bièvre, a tributary of the Seine, Antony is at the crossroads of important transport routes, especially the main north–south axis, which has existed for 2,000 years. Little urbanized until the early 20th century, the city grew considerably between the two wars, under Senator-Mayor Auguste Mounié, from 4,000 to 20,000 inhabitants.
